My major work...

So I finished my last exam yesterday, which was Visual Arts. I'm so glad that I have finally finished school for life! And the best part about yesterday, apart from celebrating with my wonderful friends from school, was that I and one of my best friends both didn't receive our major works yesterday along with everyone else. We're hoping this means that we were pre-selected for ArtExpress, the huge exhibition of the best HSC students' artworks across New South Wales. It means we got some of the highest marks in the state, out of over 9,000 students, so we're hoping that it's the good news rather than the possibility that our major works got lo

As a teenager, I suppose it isn't strange to feel like I don't belong anywhere yet, like I don't have a real home. Studying English for the HSC has taught me, firstly, to hate the word 'belonging', and also to wonder if anyone truly can feel content and accepted, and thus belong. Perhaps you can achieve this by surrounding yourself with good people, being happy with your career and having a good place to live. I'm not quite sure where 'home' is, though I'm sure that it isn't simply a house to live in, or a suburb, or a country. It's a state of mind.
